MAP Earthquake Relief – Dec 21, 2017

Our team is back in Kermanshah providing earthquake relief. We are pleased to share pictures of an event held for the children celebrating Shab-e-Yalda (winter equinox). During this party they played games, did crafts and exchanged gifts; helping bring some joy and normalcy to their lives.

We are so grateful to all who have generously donated to MAP’s Kermanshah Earthquake Relief & Reconstruction Campaign. Currently we have raised over $330,000; of which $50,000 has already been used to provide basic provisions, such as food, blankets, and first-aid kits to the earthquake victims.

Additionally, thanks to the donations from NY-Iran Earthquake Benefit Event we have purchased three mobile conex units to be used as mobile health clinics providing much needed health care to the thousands of people affected by this earthquake.

Our next undertaking is aimed at reconstruction and rebuilding of the area, which will include the construction of two health clinics (over 900 clinics were destroyed in the earthquake) and the reconstruction of over 20 preschool/kindergarten buildings in the devastated villages.

April 11, 2018 Update

To help raise funds for these undertakings, please join us on Jan 13, 2018
at San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts for a collaborative benefit concert.
Thank you for your support. This was a very effective event.
